Print, scan and store, your networking simplified
The SX-5000U2 offers USB 2.0 Hi Speed Local Area Networking capability for multifunction printers, printers, scanners and storage devices with a USB interface. Using a USB hub, the SX-5000U2 can network max. 9 USB devices (4 USB printers, 1 USB scanner, 4 USB storage devices).

* Scanner and storage server functions are available for Windows environment only.
** The SX-5000U2 supports FAT12/16/32 formatted storage device only.
NTFS format is not supported.

High security functionality - IP Filtering
The PRICOM SX-5000U2 can control the access to printer by specifying a range of IP addresses. As an enhanced security measure, this function limits the access to your network printer. It allows only the network clients in the given IP address range to print/configure the device parameters while preventing unauthorized network access. Consequently, the network traffic load to the PRICOM SX-5000U2 is decreased by the communication filtering, which assures even more stable device performance speed.

Intelligent E-Mail functionality
The PRICOM SX-5000U2 can receive e-mails in place of PC and print it for you. A Network administrator can also use the function to receive e-mail when a printer error occurs in the printer.

Receive E-Mail (POP3 Protocol):
The PRICOM SX-5000U2 will work in place of a PC and receive the e-mail and print to the printer automatically. The e-mails to be printed can be filtered by keyword setting such as the e-mail title, sender or receiver.

Send E-Mail (SMTP protocol):
When an error occurs in the printer, an e-mail will be sent to the network administrator.

Intuitive web based management via http
The PRICOM SX-5000U2 has an embedded web page. After the IP address of the print server is set, you can configure or change the configuration from a web browser.

The SX-5000U2 has 4 physical USB 2.0 Hi-Speed ports (Up to 480Mbps) and a 10/100Mbps Ethernet port allowing connected USB 2.0/1.1 devices accessible over wired or wired + wireless LAN.

Share up to 9 USB devices on the network
With a USB hub connected, the SX-5000U2 can network upto 9 USB devices (max. 4 USB printers, 1 USB scanner, 4 USB storage devices)

Enables multifunction printer (MFP / AIO) networking
The SX-5000U2 is one of the first multifunction printer server to provide full networking capability for printing, scaning, memory card sharing of the MFP/AIO devices. You can control the scanning function over the network by using the MFP scanner utility, or share your data through the memory card on the MFP slot, then print it through the same MFP.

Intelligent,easy USB pen drive configuration
Just create a simple template file with the initial setup parameters on your PC and store it in a standard USB pen drive, then by plugging the pen drive to the SX-5000U2, the initial configuration is completed automatically.

USB whiteboard networking supported

For the latest Mac OS X users, the SX-5000U2 offers automatic printer service discovery and the printer port configuration so that you can easily add a networkablle printer in your environment.

Network plug and play in the latest Windows
The Windows XP users can enjoy the automatic device discovery on the LAN with the SX-5000U2.

Automatic e-mail printing (POP3 / SMTP support)
The SX-5000U2 can retrieve e-mail for up to four (4) designated e-mail addresses from the user's e-mail server and then print the e-mails to the printer automatically without any PC. The SX-5000U2 can print all e-mails or the user can apply keyword filters to specify the e-mails to be printed. It also can send an e-mail message to you when any error occurs with the printer.

Printer status monitoring
The embedded solution can monitor for typical printer status such as paper out or error conditions. (For Windows environment only. Certain restriction may apply depending on printer model)

HP support with JetAdmin / Web JetAdmin
You can manage the SX-5000U2 from your HP Jet Admin/Web JetAdmin utility. It also supports the TCP/IP#9100 port print and Direct IPX print.
