We purchased this as we have a large portfolio of paperwork to scan. We also purchased the optional A3 flatbed. The scanner itself is very fast once it has been set up - we are using Invu software for scanning and document management. The reason for the 3 stars - the optional flatbed doesn't plug in to the main scanner which is a shame when it's offered as an accessory and there is no network connection on the scanner. This is a shame as we needed to share it between 3 PCs so are now using a spare pc as a network point for it. Will see how it runs over the next 6 months but i'm glad i had an IT department to help.

We run a small scanning bureau and have 2 of these, plus 1 predecessor model. We are scanning documents with fragile paper 50gsm, multi sized documents from post-it sized to A3 all mixed together. They all feed well through the scanner and we get great quality images. They are intuitive to use and reliable, i am happy to give the i4250 5 stars.
